View a short (10 photos) QuickTime movie slideshow of recent Danvers Bi-Peds bike rides along the Northampton Bikeway (May 28th 2005 ~ see description below) and the Tour de Marblehead starting in Salem and meandering through some scenic trails (Father's Day, June 19th 2005).

Warning! This slideshow is a QuickTime Movie and contains music: a selection from Vivaldi's Four Seasons (just in case you're in the library or at work). (If you are using a dialup service, you may find it too slow to load at 17.79MB. It may take a minute or so to start even with DSL service. We will be providing a photo album soon, which anyone may view. Please check back.) Hope you enjoy it!

Northampton Bikeway: The bike ride took us in and around Northampton, Massachusetts, on a 25 mile rail trail tour escorted by Craig DellaPenna. It was a leisurely, narrated bicycle tour of the existing and future rail trail network that radiates from Northampton demonstrating their place in the community.

Tour de Marblehead: Starting on Salem Bikeway (next to Central Campus) across Rte 114 (Walk bikes across) onto Marblehead Nature Trail to Atlantic Ave. Visited along the way:

· Castle Rock on The Neck
· Lighthouse at Chandler Hovey Park
· Abbott Hall to view original "The Spirit of 76" painting by Archibald Willard
· Crocker Park
· Fort Sewall ( Bring your picnic lunch)

Return to SSC via Beacon Street, West Shore rive, Nature Trail and Salem Bikeway.
